JOSH I called Britney a car and slumped back on the couch, glaring at the fire. I don’t know what I was thinking meeting her. Don’t get me wrong, part of me empathized, and even felt bad about what she now had to live with every day of her life, but reading that book the night before was not something that had been on my agenda. Reliving my relationship with Cali, and yet another reminder of Lucas. He, well, I tormented myself on a daily basis. The night that Cali and I broke the love spell, and I was able to see all the recollections that haunted her, playing through my mind, now tortured me. Visions of Lucas consumed me; so much so, that I rarely looked in the mirror anymore, because I couldn’t help but see an image of him embedded in the reflection. Not breaking my focus from the fire
