"We are here too," I paused for a moment when I caught sight of Aiden approaching us. As Aiden strode to where I and mother stood, his eyes lit up when they met mine.
I quickly regained my composure, realizing I had been staring for too long. "Selena, what are you doing here?" he asked, approaching me and his mother.
"Son, this woman came here to throw insults at me," his mother interjected, and I saw a hint of disbelief in Aiden's eyes.
"Mom, please stop being dramatic. Selena, what's going on? Can we talk inside?" Aiden inquired.
"There's no need for that," I replied firmly.
"Fine, then tell us what's happening," Aiden pressed. "Yes, tell us," his mother chimed in.
