"Please, doctor, do not let him die," I pleaded desperately to the doctor while the nurses and paramedics wheeled the stretcher towards the operating room.
"Madam, please try to remain calm," the doctor responded. "Are you a relative of Mr. Aiden?" the doctor inquired.
"I am his girlfriend," Loretta's voice resonated through the air before I could utter a word. She arrived just in time to answer the doctor's question.
