AIDEN'S POV
"How in the world did that witch manage to find her way here?" My mother asked, the anger bubbling up inside me.
"Selena is not a witch!" I fired back. "Oh, but she is," Loretta chimed in. "Stay out of this, Loretta," I snapped.
"No, I won't. You're not going to shut me up after everything I've done for you," Loretta retorted.
"This woman needs to leave immediately. Get out!" My mother declared as she walked towards Selena and me, but I blocked her path.
"Selena is the love of my life. I love her! Get it through your head already. Nothing will ever come between us, mom," I insisted as my mother shot me a disappointed look, which I brushed off.
I wouldn't let her guilt-trip me for standing up for Selena. "Aiden, I have to go," Selena murmured.
