What on earth did I just hear? Aiden is tying the knot with Loretta? Is this for real?
"Aren't you going to congratulate me?" Aiden's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, bringing me back to reality.
I mustered up a smile, cleared my throat, and replied, "Congratulations to you both," in a steady tone, keeping up the fake smile on my face.
"Congratulations," Michel chimed in.
This is not good. Why did Aiden have to choose this place of all places for his engagement party?
Fate seems to have a twisted sense of humor, always bringing us together when we can't be.
