AIDEN'S POV
"I thought she had called you," Gabriella mentioned, snapping me out of my reverie, and I quickly regained my composure.
My mind was still trying to figure out when Selena had phoned me, as I always made myself available to answer her calls.
"My sister mentioned she'd call you right after our conversation," Gabriella added.
"I didn't get any call from her. It's possible she used a different number," I suggested.
"No. She changed her phone, so I'm sure that affected the call. I also thought it might have been a stranger calling me the first time she did," Gabriella explained.
That's when it all became clear to me.
Selena was the mysterious caller who had been reaching out to me in the hospital. Damn it! What was wrong with me?
