"I don't want to hurt Loretta," I finally found the words to respond to Cathy's suggestion.
"Hurt Loretta? Oh come on, boss. It would be even worse if you let this go any further. You would only end up hurting yourselves with this decision," Cathy pointed out, and I nodded in agreement.
She was right. Moving forward with the marriage would only cause deeper pain for both of us. "So what are you going to do now?" Cathy questioned.
