AIDEN'S POV
My mother demanded answers, wanting to know how Loretta saved my life. She had already heard everything and there was no escaping her questions.
I was puzzled as to why she was at home when I thought she was still in the hospital.
"Can someone please explain what is happening here?" My mother's voice boomed, snapping me back to reality.
I apologized to the police officers and escorted them out of my office.
"What did you say, Aiden? How did Loretta save your life?" My mother inquired, stepping closer to me.
"She intervened during the incident. She protected me from those men who were trying to harm me," I explained.
