Harriet’s POV. I had been tossing and turning all night. My mind had refused to shut up again. I didn’t want to believe that not sleeping at night had soon become a reoccurrence. I hadn’t stopped thinking about Devon and about our last conversation before he traveled two days ago. I had every reason to believe that I had ruined something. That I’m the bid to avoid him so I wouldn’t say something I wasn’t supposed to, I had in turn ruined what wasn’t necessarily a good relationship. The thought alone caused my sleeplessness. Maybe I should have just acted normal, pretend like I didn’t know what I did know, maybe I should have asked Jonah to give me a brief answer instead, I shouldn’t have asked him to tell me everything that he knew.
