When the car stopped in front of the large gate, Ryne didn't get out immediately. "Thank you," he said simply. "Why?" "Because you didn't force me to stay." I stared at his eyes for a moment. "Don't make me sound like a nice person." He smiled faintly, then opened the door. Before getting out, he said quietly, "Tomorrow morning, nine o'clock." "I'll pick you up." H nodded and walked inside without looking back. And for the first time in a long time, I let him go without the urge to hold him back. The next morning, I was waiting outside the gate when Ryne emerged, dressed simply and wearing a mask. He looked healthy.
