Chapter 19Micah stood on the curb waiting, and soon the headlights of Don’s car turned the corner and pulled up next to him. He opened the door and got inside. “I’m glad to see you.” “Me too, I was thinking about you when you called. Is everything okay?” “I’ll tell you when we get to your place.” * * * * Don’s home was a loft in a former warehouse in Hollywood on Wilshire Boulevard. The elevator they went up in was an antique with a substantial, metal gate, and it clanged and squealed all the way to the fifth level where Don lived.
