Chapter 10Don pulled up to the curb in front of the complex where Micah lived, and he shut off the engine. Together they sat in the car staring straight ahead of them.
“I guess one of us is going to have to say good-night,” Micah finally offered.
“I wish you didn’t have to go.” Don’s voice was full of reluctance. He wanted Micah to stay, but he couldn’t find the words to ask him.
“We both have to work tomorrow you know.”
“Yeah, except that when you walk in the door tomorrow, I’ll be the boss and you’ll be the employee,” Don said. Micah sighed and opened the car door. Don got out next and walked side by side with Micah.
