Chapter 14Micah hesitated, putting his key in the lock on the apartment door, and after he got it open, he pushed it slowly just in case Forrest had company. Shutting the door behind him, he found that the living room was empty, and there were no lights on in Forrest’s bedroom. He knocked just in case, but there was no answer.
In his own room, Micah stripped off his clothes. The traces of sand that fell out of the creases reminded him of his day with Don.
“He told me about his family, but he wasn’t very enthused to talk about his ex. I wonder what happened.” Micah nearly jumped when Forrest’s voice answered.
