Because business had been good lately, I didn't need to keep the shop open late every day. Around six or seven in the evening, I would close up, go to the bank to deposit the day's earnings at the ATM, and today was no different. After depositing the money, I thought about grabbing something to eat, so while crossing the street, I was a bit distracted. This slight distraction almost got me hit by an oncoming motorcycle. Fortunately, I reacted at the last moment, stumbled a few steps, and dodged it. Still, I lost my balance and fell, my hand landing on a stone, gashing it open. Instantly, blood covered half my palm.
