Chapter 10 A FRESH START
VEGA
Vega concluded that leaving home was the best option for her. She packed up a few of her belongings and left the pack in the middle of the night.
FIVE YEARS LATER
The alarm on the table clock buzzed at 6 a.m., and a sleepy Vega lazily stretched forth her hands to put it off so she could get a good sleep.
It worked the first time, since she slept for another hour. The alarm buzzed again, and this time, in trying to put it off, she fell with a thud, carrying the bed cover with her.
"Ouch!..." Vega immediately stood up from the floor, rubbing her back, which hit the cold hard floor.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on her room door.
"Vega, are you okay?" Came Sandy's voice.
"May I come in?"
"Yes, you can." Vega muffled, still feeling the impact from the fall
