“What is that sound?” He whispered as he walked towards the window to check. He took a deep breath as he moved the curtains and looked out the window. His eyes suddenly went wide, and my heart skipped a beat. What was going on? I wondered. I was prompted to ask him what was going on, but I beat the urge to ask him.
