Elena's POV
I stood there dumbfounded as I could not utter a meaningful word. My eyes widened as I stared at him, lying on the floor with an arrow pierced through his chest as he held it with his hand. What did he just say to me? I asked in my thoughts, and his words reverberated in my mind. I shut my eyes instantly, placing my palm on my forehead and inhaling deeply. He was the brother of my worst nightmare. Why did I help him in the first place? I should have just let him die. I thought.
I heaved a sigh as all these thoughts ran through my mind. I hissed inaudibly, turning around to take my leave, as I decided to leave him there to die.
