I got back to the pack house immediately. Anna's words reverberated in my mind. I could not help but think about what she said as I walked into the pack house, straight to the alpha's room. I hoped he did not notice how late I came back to the pack house. I exhaled rapidly and knocked on the door, but no response came. I knocked again, waiting for a response, but I didn't get any. Where could he be? I wondered. I turned the knob and the door opened freely. I walked in swiftly to his closet, placing his stuff there, and dashed out of the room.
