I ran swiftly back to the maid's quarters, but I had a second thought that he might come looking for me there. I changed my direction and headed outside the pack house to the garden where I could be alone. I sat down there quietly in the cold night, thinking about what I had just done. The leaves danced to the gentle breeze they blew. I wrapped my arms around my chest as I went into deep thoughts. What have I done? I questioned myself as regrets started to rush in my veins. I did not know what came over me.
