Alpha Rowland's POV
I stared at Selena momentarily as her face looked pale while she pleaded. Why had she come back? I wondered. My heart beat raced faster as I came to the sudden realization that my most trusted ally; Beta Josh, was dead. I could feel the rage coursing through my body. I stood there mute as my breath accelerated. Selena gave me a pale look before pulling me into another hug tightly.
I exhaled heavily as I closed my eyes. Memories of moments with Beta Josh flashed in my mind. I clenched my teeth lightly and my heart went heavy. Different thoughts filled my mind as I stood there in her embrace. Selena pulled out of the hug and stood in front of me.
