Time began to flow steadily and the lights stopped flickering as Diana calmed in Hunter's arms. He gave her one last kiss on the forehead before turning her around and leading her outside behind everyone else.
They walked outside in silence, with only Diana's sniffles breaking the silence. He knew there was nothing he could possibly say that would ease his mate's pain or guilt.
Outside, Xavier, along with his whole pack, stood still in wolf form while wolves from all around arrived in his territory and came together as one. Wolves from different rival packs, and even rogues, united to honor their Goddess. At that moment, nothing else mattered except for honoring her.
