With hindsight, Dylan realized that it was exactly the kind of altruist feelings he would have wanted in his woman. Except the pain of separation would not go away. It gnawed at him, in the morning when he would have his usual cup of coffee, in the afternoons during his beloved classes, but especially in the nights. It came worst then, crippling him with the effect until he curled into a ball, trying to bolt the anger and helplessness seizing him. He was only too aware of the effort his staff were making so as not to hound him but equally aware that his music courses wouldn’t run by themselves. After three days though, he knew it had to stop or he would drive himself crazy. It had been exactly seventy-seven hours since he’d last seen her, and any more second was bound to make him crazy. F
