“Arghhhhh!”, I can't stop myself screaming loudly as a rogue appeared in my front. I kicked him and tried to get away from him but he grabbed my wrist forcefully and pulled me up to stand.
“Ace! Ace!” I shouted for help, trying my luck as the rogue dragged me to walk. My throat dried down as I walked opposingly to him.
It wasn't long after when the ehand on my wrist as it started to loose on my skin. I sighed thankfully but I shocked in horror when the rogue earlier was thrown in the ground, lifeless.
I looked at someone who did it and I saw Ace with seriousness at his face. He walked holding my hand as we doubled our pace. I lost direction but I hope Ace wasn't because ei trust him that he has sense of direction and he could easily find it out. We came out if the cemetery after almost half an hour of waking and trying to get out.
"What are we going to do?" I yelled frantically in my seat.
"Just relax, don't stress yourself." Ace calmly told me.
"How can I relax, Ace? We are surrounded! I don't want my escape to be nonsense again just like my former ones." I replied in panic.
He maneuvered the car to the graves and I nearly screamed as Ace ran over the crosses that marked each grave.
"Relax, Ariella. Trust me on this." Ace smiled at me reassuringly. I breathed deeply trying to calm myself and to steady my body because of the movements caused by the tires bumping into the crosses and other statuettes stuck on the ground.
I closed my eyes until I felt the movement of the car in the barrier entering a national road. He drove it away but the pursuers could not stop us from shooting at the car we were riding in.
"Aren't they tired of chasing us?! Even your ex-mate didn't send any help on us! Damn useless." Ace shouted while trying to drive ducking his head from the arrows and screeching passing us. I lowered my body as well as my head hiding using the seat as a cover.
There was a noise from the falling of the shells inside the car that was broken by the tip of arrows.
"Where are we going now?" I asked as I noticed the road is different from what is supposed to be out of the forest's cemetery.
He drove into a narrow street where only one car could fit because of the buildings whose walls towered over them.
Ace pulled over in front of a house, and I got out. When the door unexpectedly opened, we rushed inside.
"What happened?" an elderly woman asked as she slammed the door behind us.
"I'll tell you the whole story later, grandma," Ace replied, holding the old man's wrinkled hand.
"Por Dios santisima," she said as she led us into a room.
"Hide in your granpa's secret room," she added, pushing Ace inside as if she was forcing him to go there. Ace's face was hesitant. "What are we waiting for, Ace? Let's go! Where is it?" I frantically snapped at him in his thoughts.
"I'm sorry," he said, still looking befuddled. He walks backwards but then stops, realizing something.
"Ace! Are you okay? You didn't seem to be in yourself! We need to hide now!" As I finished my sentence, a knock on the front door of the house was heard.
Ace appeared to realize the situation and walked into one side of the room, tapping the ground three times in a row, two times, and then five times. I was about to tell him
The floor revealed a square hole with stairwells leading down. The entire area was enveloped in darkness. I was about to express how strongly I disagree with his idea when I heard footsteps throughout the house.
"Let's go," Ace said, stepping first into the stairwell. I kept a close eye on him, hoping not to trip or fall for the sake of my baby. He extended his hand after nearly ten steps, but the darkness of the hole devoured half of his body. I took his hand in mine and began to follow him. I take one step at a time, until I can't see anything. The hole began to creek, effectively closing the entrance we used. Following that,
