Ariella POV

The bodyguard is facing his back from me, checking the corridor and hallways through his eyes. His back screams manliness, shoulders are toned and he's tall like a tree. I lifted my weight and tiptoed to frighten him walking quietly as much as possible to not send alarm.

“Hmm, his black robe is covering his whole body but I think this guy is muscled.” I laughed into my mind and continued my plan.

I lifted my weight once more, stepping carefully as possible as well as keeping the tray on my hands.

“BOOO!!!!” I shouted loudly in attempt to scare him. I make face to add to my act, but he turned around that made me held my breathe. His upper face is covered with black mask, wearing no emotion at all. I unconciously studied his face and my mind went wild of curiosity. He wears a metal mask that covers his nose up to his forehead. The mask is a plain with few designs that I can't decipher. My eyes landed to his, giving me chills all over my body. A blue enchanting orbs looking empty and deep.

I heard a swoosh sound that alerted me so I brought my eyes down to his waist where a long sword was pulled out halfly.

“No, no, no! I'm not here to harm or execute evil things! I'm here to bring you this food.” I nervously explained as I gulped air to soothe and calm my nerves. I lifted the tray up enough to cover my face and waited for few seconds but he didn't move even a single strand of his black shiny hair. I wonder why but I restrained myself to peek.

“Jusy wait a few more minutes Ariella and he'll surely get any food. Just a few more seconds.”I whispered to myself murmuring.

I waited for one minute, two minutes, three minutes, four minutes, fi—

“Aren't you going to eat this or not?! ” I complained, lowering the tray so I could see him. I glared at him but he stand there without no emotions.

“What?!” I asked angrily biting the side of my lips. “Get one.” I pouted. “You should feel happy because I welcomed you and favored to the extent that I brought you delicious food like this!” I continued bickering and explaining myself. I hatefully raised my brows to him and tried to hold his hands but he avoided my touch skillfully.

“Hey, I'm not planning to do anything to you. ” I explained unbelievably and tried again picking up both his hands but he dodge both his hands leaving the sword falling in it's place.

“I forcefully held his left hand and put the right end of the tray. I get his right hand too and put the left hand of the tray on it.

“Tsss”, I snickered and turned my back to him. I walked fastly but after a few steps, a realization hits me. “Oh, I understand now. ” I uttered and step back fastly.

“Hey! Hehe, I understand now.” I raised one of my finger like telling him that I realized it smartly. “Im sorry if I shouted to you earlier.” I smiled and walked nearer him. He didn't move while the tray is still on his hands the exact position I left him.

“Don't held grudge to me, okay?” I tapped his shoulder lightly with remorse. He flinched lightly but I continued.

“I felt really really sorry, I didn't know what you are earlier but after thinking it through I already understand it. ” I nodded my head believing my own judgement.

“Dont worry, I won't tell anyone. I won't tell them that you are...” I smiled at him and tiptoed to lean into his ear. As my face going nearer him, I saw how his adams apple move sexily.

“mute”, I smiled and stepped backward smiling. I raised my right hand and made an okay sign.

“Dont worry about the Ella, I'll definitely took good care of her.” I mumbled while nodding my head while thinking.

“Oh right, aren't he deaf also? Maybe he's a deaf-mute so he didn't understand me at all! Oh my gosh!” I covered my mouth with my palms and look at him carefully. He didn't change his position so I studied his physique and move around him to look better of him.

“Or maybe I'm right, he's actually a deaf-mute and he can't hear me. Maybe he has this unique talent and skills in battle that's why he became a bodyguard. ” I told to myself and look at him with pity.

I looked at him and raised my hand and acted to zip my mouth. I pointed him and then pointed myself then I zip my mouth. I nod my head to him and give him a thumbs up. I pointed the tray and acted my both hands that I am holding a spoon and fork to eat. I munched pretendingly and I give him a thumbs again. I smiled without showing my teeth and waved my hand to bid a goodbye to him.

I walked away from him and opened the library door. The oak door creaked and I unexpectedly saw Derah waiting for me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me to sit on the couch.

“Ella, what happened? Did you meet him?” she asked worriedly. I sit comfortably, leaning my back to the couch more.

“Yeah, I met him but I don't understand why the higher officials and the elders sent him here.” I honestly spitted.

“Why? What are you trying to say Ella? I can't caught up.” Derah asked.

“Originally, their plan is to send a people here to watch and report to them what I'm doing and my progress. They are afraid that I might progress and be worthy of the title to rule the pack but I can't understand why did they send a man like him.” I voiced out my thought and Derah tried to understand what I've said. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts trying to follow and comprehend my words.

“DERAH!” I shouted loudly into her face making her jumped from shock. I laughed hardly just by looking at her expression.

“But, I'm serious Derah. Why would they send a deaf mute bodyguard?”

“A deaf mute?!”

I nod my head at her but she shook her head. “Hes not like that. I heard him talk and conversing with Alpha earlier.” she mumbled.

“What?!” I can't believe what I heard and lost in my thought. “Is Dion back?” I suddenly remembered him. Derah shook her head in response. My body fell in energy of what I did and slumped again on the couch.

My mind clouded with thoughts until I remembered something. The bodyguard's eyes. It changed earlier! I immidiately raised on my seat and opened the door again but before I could come out, I saw Danica in front of my door with her hand hanging on the air ready to knock.

“Danica! Oh my gosh, why are you here?!” I hugged her and she hugged me too. She whispered something in my ear that almost defeaned me. “You are the woman in the Oracle. The daughter and the next Luna of the cursed pack.”
