That night, I slept in the room where I changed my clothes. I can't imagine that the place where my mom stayed before will be the same place I'll stay with right now. It felt surreal. I turned on the light and began roaming the entire area, looking for anything that would connect to my mother or will send the motherly love into me. I am craving and seeking for her presence even after years of her being gone. I went through the closet and cabinets and found a small written letter rolled and tied with an old ribbon. Cob webs clings to the papers, and dust flying in the air causing my nose to itch. I carefully opened the small paper without breaking or tearing it. I also double-checked who it was from, but nothing was written on the outside. I took out the faded-colored ribbon and popped out the letters that had almost been erased due to age. I stroked the rough paper gently, stretching both ends so I could read the content inside. It melts my heart to know that my father truly loves my Mom to the point where he can't lay his hand on her or hurt her. And with that thought, I fell asleep, hugging the pillows and the letter even tighter. … I raised on my mother's bed this morning somewhat happy, which is unusual for a pregnant woman with nowhere to live and no money to support myself and my child. I'm still debating whether or not to look for his pack and inquire if what had happened to him. If I have relatives left or none. I decided to explore the area after waking up and getting ready this morning. I can feel my stomach groaning from hunger, so I'll go find some food. I'm currently walking down a long, well-lit corridor. I opened some doors and was surprised to find file rooms, libraries, computer rooms, extra bathrooms, and other pack rooms. I can say that their place is a vast one. With a lot of facilities and resources to supply their pack members. “Ma'am, may I interrupt you? You are not allowed to open other rooms. They are prohibited to do so.” A woman voiced out and I smiled apologetically. I am not familiar and I don't know what's allowed and not. "My apologies, Greta. I'm just looking around," I asked for forgiveness for the nth time. "Greta will suffice. And what are your plans? " She inquired, her brow furrowed. I cleared my throat before responding, "uhm, I'm looking for food. So can you please tell me your kitchen or food area? ” I asked kindly. “Kitchen is located there”, she pointed a place somewhere and I knitted my brows. Where is that? They have same rooms and identical hallways. She walked while gesturing me to follow her. She took a different path, leaving me behind, so I followed her. We reached the kitchen and my eyes glowed brightly from how huge it is. There is the dirty kitchen and stalls around. The dining table is shining in the middle with long and bunch of chairs around. “Greta, do you know my father's pack? Are their pack still reigning right now?” I asked innocently while the woman almost choke on her water she's drinking. “Oh my holy moon goddess”, she murmured. She looked at me with shock and rounded eyes. I waited for her to tell me something because based on her reaction, there must be something of what happened to my parents. She knew something that her conscience can't take anymore.
