The check-up lasts for almost fifteen minutes and the doctor left me without any informations given. I started to worry about the baby in my womb. Will my baby survive in this environment? If I have a wolf and Dion has a wolf, do this mean our baby is a werewolf also?
I wiped my tears that fell unknowingly. I don't know that I am being emotional because of the hormones, I guess. It's relative to always blame the hormones right? The thought of having a baby once again visited my mind. It's just I'm afraid.
“The baby is fine”, Dion opened the door and enter himself. “
I returned to my room after nearly an hour of exercise and a short walk. I prepared myself by taking a cold shower.
When I arrived at Uncle Toffy's office, he was busy with paperwork.
"Good morning," I said, clasping both of my hands behind my back.
“Morning. "Oh, you're too early," he said as he took off his reading glasses. "Give me a minute; I'll finish this first." Eat the food that's on the couch. I took it specifically for you."
"No, it's fine, uncle. Take your time, don't mind me here," I said as I walked across the couch, pointing. When I saw the food wrapped in plastic, I took it on my lap while sitting on one of the seats.
I unwrapped it and began eating, occasionally looking at him. I opened the water bottle and drank some before removing it from my grasp.
"Are you going to finish it?"
" He inquired as he noticed the leftover food in the plastic.
"I've lost my appetite," I said as I followed him outside.
We entered the elevator, and he selected the eleventh floor.
"Are you feeling well?
" He inquired, inspecting my body.
"Yes," I said, turning my gaze to the door. When it opened, I was greeted by the same structure of hallway and room doors.
We walked through nearly five rooms before he pressed something into the door, causing it to open automatically without the assistance of inside personnel.
The entire area has white walls and medical equipment on display. The difference in their infirmary here is that the bulbs are all supporting the entire plDion to light up.
"Sir," an elderly gentleman in a white coat, greeted my companion. He gives a nod.
"Please check Ariella, she's almost three months old, and she forgot all of her vitamins, so I need lists of new ones," he said solemnly.
"Please follow me, Ms," the doctor said as he entered another room that connected to the previous one.
The check-up lasts nearly 30 minutes, and the doctor gives me some prescribed medications.
"The baby is fine, and I don't know if I can hear two heartbeats." "There's a chance you'll have twins," the doctor said, making me cry.
When I remembered those, I wiped away my tears once more. It brought tears to my eyes, knowing that I could be carrying two lives in my womb.
I made the decision to go above and beyond to ensure their safety and health. I'll put my life on the line for the two of them.
.
"Of course, I'm pleased. Finally, with the right person beside me, it made a different bride and another child of mine come true, but I'm still thankful, grateful, and happy." He smiled, making it appear genuine.
So, how will our child turn out? I stroked my stomach. "I'm sorry, babies, but I don't think you'll ever know the love of a real father." But don't worry, I'm always here for you," I mumbled as tears streamed down my cheeks.
I wiped my face and turned off the television. Dion arrived at the office on time.
"Why are you sobbing? " He looked around with curious eyes.
"Who said I was crying?" "I'm not," I replied defensively, turning around to hide my lumpy and red eyes.
"I was just cracking up too hard, and you mistook me for crying," I explained.
"You can fool yourself or other people, Ariella, but you can't fool me," he grumbled as he walked towards me. I take a seat on the couch, lowering my head so he can't see my eyes.
"Why are you hiding your face if you're not crying?"
He inquired again.
"This is nothing, Dion. I just wanted to get check-up to a more professional and will explain what had happened." I replied, choking back tears. I tried to stop it, but it seemed to have life in it. “Uhm, another one, another doctor or obygene.
He knelt in front of me, so he was at eye level with mine. He gently caressed my cheeks with both of his palms, wiping away my tears.
"What actually happened? You can tell me, or I'll dig for it right now," he said with a Stoic expression.
"He's already married, Dion," I'll say. He hugged me and stroked my back in a soothing motion.
"It's fine. "Hush now, Ariella," he said solemnly.
"I-I'd like to call him Dion." "Please help me talk to him," I pleaded.
"Shhh, calm down first; you don't need to talk to him."
"But, Dion, I need to sort things out. Please give it to me. "I — I need closure."
"First, fix yourself; I'll lend you my cellphone, but promise me this will be brief and you'll be looking for closure, nothing more, nothing less." Do you comprehend? " He said, wiping my tears away and encircling me in his embrDion.
I'm still grateful he was there for me; his presence aided my emotional state. I've begun to behave him as my brother because I've never had one and don't know if I have one on my paternal side.
