“They will smell us”, I whispered to him while pulling the hem of his shirt so he could give attention what I've said.

“Shhhh, they won't.” He reassured and we both waited.

We automatically fell silent when we heard footsteps from above.

They began searching the entire place as we tried not to make noise but my worries grow about our smell. They can smell us. We stayed there for almost ten minutes before I heard the floor above our heads open. A howl was heard from outside and my knees trembled. I eyed Ace and he gestures not to speak. I nod at him and covered my mouth.

“Did you see anything?” A hard voice spoke from above.

“I can't smell anything. There's no sound in here too.” the other replied that made me sigh in relief.

"You are free to leave now." They had already left five minutes ago," her voice echoed throughout the room, making me flinch. The grandmother looked at us and she gestured to climb.

It took me a long time to reach the top; Grandma assisted me, and we also assisted Ace. We dusted ourselves after noticing cobwebs and dirt clinging to our clothes and hair.

“Tsk tsk tsk, I already know that you are here.” A familiar voice made my heart beats fast. He's here! I mentally shouted and looked at Ace. His hand formed a circle from anger.

“Why are you here?!” I angrily spatted and faced him. This guy, he's here. My ex-contractual mate is here. The father of my child. “What are you doing here, Dion?!” I asked again raising my voice from anger building in my core.

“Go back to the pack.” He stressing out his words while looking at me using his sharp eyes. I gulped seeing him again. The last time I saw him was when he's unconscious.

“Ariella” Ace warned at me. I saw his empty eyes in my pheriperal vission.

“Dont listen to him! You need to come back in the pack for your safety and for our baby's safety, Ariella! You left me while I'm bedridden. And now I'm awake, I won't let you go AGAIN.” He painfully told looking into my depth of eyes. My tears are starting to fall yet I'm holding it hard.

“Dont listen to him Ariella. Remember he don't want yo take the throne that's why he used you. He killed his mate and now do you think he'll take good care of yo—”

“Shut up Ace! We both know who's leading her to danger.” Dion growled at him.

“Who are you?! You are scolding my grandson Mr?! I'm going to call the pice to catch you.” Grandma said and I looked at Ace trying to send him signal about Grandma. We can't afford when she was hurt or get involved here.

“Grandma, can you please prepare a meal for us? I'm a bit hungry.” Ace smiled at his grandma. She excitedly agreed while her eyes lit up. I smiled at her too and looked at Dion. He nods his head to his group and they give way to the old woman.

We waited for her to get sight of us and then continued again. We were surrounded by almost ten people. I roamed my eyes on them and I realized, they weren't rogues. They are the men of Dion. The top pack fighters and soldiers.

“She won't come back to you, Dion.” Ace angrily started the heat again and this time, Dion walked passed me and went to Ace's front. I gulped and followed him but two werewolves blocked my way.

“You are not the one who will decide for her, i***t. If I were you, instead of whining, I will take good care of my grandmother.” Dion smirked at him and I tried getting passed these guarding me but I can't.

“Dont f*****g try involving my grandmother here, Dion!” Ace shouted. Dion's hands automatically grasped Ace's collar that almost choked him. Dion grabbed him in a few inches away from him and angrily glared to him.

“Stop that! You two!” I shouted at them but they still continued battling using their eyes. Men. They are so hard to stop fighting.

“I'll kill him if you didn't go back including that grandmother of this idiot.” Dion looked back at me and waited for my answer. I heard Ace's groan in pain and I can't think clearly right now. I dizzily looked at them and said “Okay fine, I'll come with you.” I felt my body started to sway and there, I fell again in darkness.
