Check-up

I didn't try escaping again that night after Dion slept beside me. How can I if he's with me. I only hoped that Danica weren't caught and safely landed. Maybe we try another day or time. All I know is we will never give up.

“The doctor will visit you for a check-up later but I won't be here. I have tons of works to do.” Dion informed me while he's preparing to go. The breakfast was also delivered early this morning but neither of us touched it. “Also, put something in your stomach. It won't be good for the baby if her mother is starving.” He mumbled just like he already read my mind.

“Hmmm”, I nod my head in response and continue to busy myself looking at nowhere. I heard him fakely coughed but I didn't bother gave him attention. I was mesmerized and drown from my own thoughts. I didn't tracked time last night and how come I already came back in this room, asleep. The mirror in the comfort room is so strange that I don't want to go again there. I am afraid I will end up being sucked in there again.

“Ariella”, I was brought to reality when I felt a touch on my shoulder that I moved away. His touch I am craving before, but now, I don't know what to feel.

“What?!” I asked irritatedly as my thoughts were intervened. “I'll get going.” He said and I look at him and nod my head once to acknowledge what he said. He stared at me for a few seconds before he sighed deeply. He combed his hair and walked in the door. He opened it and looked at me again. I raised my brows and he closed the door.

“Tsss", I hissed throwing the fabric around me and ran softly and carefully in the corner where food was put in. I am starving so I touched my little bump and I can feel a few movements from it. My eyes rounded and checked my stomach. How come it can show movements this early? I asked myself few questions until I was enchanted by the beauty and taste of food in front of me.

Few minutes had passed and I was surprised that I found myself dig in such a number of food and was all gone right now. I released a burp and smally laughed at myself.

How can I escape or went to Danica this time? Is Ace okay? What's happening outside? My thoughts are still roaming out of the four corners of the room.

I was alarmed when knocks in the door are loud and continuous. “Wait up”, I shouted a little bit irritated and fixed the food tray, wiping my hands on the table cloth before standing in my position.

“Who's that?” I asked while holding the handle of the door.

“I am the pack doctor”, I heard a soft, manly old voice from outside and I opened the door to let the doctor come in. A small white haired man with a medical kit I'm his hands walked inside followed by two pack fighters serving as guards. Two another maids came in and I can't help raise my eyebrows at them. What they think they'll be going here? Geez, this is surely made by Dion to make sure I went into check-up voluntarily or forcefully.

“Can we start the check-up, Miss Ariella?” the doctor pointed the bed telling me to lay and I shyly followed not to further do anything. After all, I want to know my state's in my womb.

I lay my back on the bed and pulled the blanket half my body. I looked at two bodyguards inside and eyes them. “Are you going to watch me while being checked?” I unsurely asked and they looked at each other before they turned their backs at us. I rolled my eyes and nods at the doctor so he could start. He brought out his esthethoscope and do his thing. I remained silent the whole period and he stopped after few minutes of asking questions now and then about my pregnancy. I can't lie that I can feel light and I sometimes forget that I am carrying a child because it's not heavy nor the bump is growing huge.

“I'll prescribed multivitamins to you and the baby that you needed to intake.” The doctor said pulling a paper and pen in his kit and write something. He gave it to one of the guards and he kept his things in the jit ready to go.

“Are you not going to explain or give me advice on my pregnancy? How's the check-up? Aren't you going to tell me? You supposed to do that.” I angrily inquired but he shook his head. “I'll only report the details to Dion. He made it clear before I went here. Sorry, Miss.” the doctor bowed his head and began leaving me in the bed. The two guards followed as well as the maids.

The door closed and not long after, I heard a turn of my knob and nervousness grew on my system. I walked on it and tried not to sent alarm and the door opened afterwards. I saw Danica went in the room and she locked the door immidiately.

“Danica” I called her name on a low tone. “Shhhhh”, she replied ducking on the view of window so I walked on it and closed the curtain.

“Who came out your room?” She asked trying to get herself fixed from breathing heavily.

“The pack doctor and few guards of him.” I said while sitting beside her.

“What diagnosis he saw?” Danica continued asking as I shook my head to her. Her brows knitted not understanding what I am implying. “They didn't told you?” She continued and I nod my head to her this time. “Idiots”,she murmured in the air.

“I'm scare did the possibilities”, I honestly told her as she looked up at me and chuckled.

“Don't worry, I can feel you child's presence are strong.” Danica smiled at me and picked up my hand and squeeze my palms.

“So, why are you here?” I diverted the topic and her eyes rounded in realization. “Oh yeah, about that.” She smiled and stand up straight walking in front of me. “There will be a full moon in exact three days after today. It will be the time the teen wolves or anyone who hides their wolves will shift in their first time. You need to be extra careful because they are aggressive that old ones. They can make their wolves follow it mishandle them.”

“Hmmm, I got it. I won't come out of this place on that time.” I promised in her.

“You need to easy yourself too.” Danica mumbled. My brows creased from what I heard. Why do I need to get ready? She smiled comfortingly and stared at me indifferently.
