Kane Pov
“Just give her to me Kane and I'll spare your ass.” Harrison smirked, his eyes started to glow darkly as my breathe hitched and resonates.
“Get her if you can.” I stated boldly, giving him what he wants.
“Harrison ambushed me and your mate here in the garden.” I simply informed Dion which I heard his deep breaths. I open our mindlink, so that he knew where we are.
Ariella groaned in the ground and lift herself up hardly. She dragged herself in the tree and look at us with worry and panick in her eyes. She closed her eyes and her conciousness left her body.
Damn. A curse left my mouth seeing her in the ground laying. I'm sure Dion will kill me alive this time if I let Harrison get her.
“Tsk tsk, I told you. She'll be with me in a snap”. Harrison run in her side as he catch her head falling in the ground. I hissed looking at what he did so I ran fastly to kick him but he dodge, caryying Ariella in his arms and looked back at me.
I lunged at his side, trying to avoid hitting Ariella.
“Just f*****g leave her and put her down, Harrison.” Anger started to fuel my body—and I can't stop myself if it happens. “Just f*****g put her down.” I flatly warned him again with my most controlled voice as possible. A growl left my mouth before jumping in the air as I felt my bones expanded and cracked shifting in the middle. My brown huge wolf appeared right exactly landing on the land. I ran into his side and jumped into him. He sidetracked to avoid her being hit. I heard him crunchilly cussed under his breath. His body sways lightly after my attack but he managed to regain his balance and posture.
“Don't force me, Harrison. PUT DOWN THAT WOMAN NOW!” I stared at him with gritted teeth as I talk to him in our mind link. I heard his throat vibrated as he laughed and spoke. “Dream on”, he replied.
“Do you really think Dion will let you take his mate?” I tried getting to his nerves. His laughed deepened and his jaw tightened. “Do you really think she's his mate?” He asked back that taken me aback.
The events of that night we met this girl played back in my mind. I clearly remember how he throwed that woman in the ground. If she's his mate, he can't do that to her. Are they pretending?
I was lost in my thought when I saw Harrison look at Ariella differently. With admiration. With a glimpse of happiness inside. Mates. I closed my eyes and shake my head a little. Impossible.
“BRING HER DOWN, NOW!” we heared a roar of deep and authoritative voice somewhere. The voice demands respect to bow down and follow his order. He's definitely angry and I know how worst he can be.
I shifted into my human form and get my clothes on the ground. I stand behind the man as we look everywhere but to Harrison while Ariella is still unconcious in his arms.
“Calm down our next Alpha to be.” Harrison teased with a smirk playing in his curve of mouth acting unbothered of Dion's presence and warning.
I saw how Dion balled a fist in his right hand almost popping his veins. His breathing started to deepen the aura around darkens. “Don't make me repeat myself, Harrison.” Dion once again give him a deadly stare.
Harrison didn't mind us and stared at Ariella in his hands still unconcious and no idea what was happening around her. His expression soften in a second but when I blinked my eye, his eyes were empty and dark again. Something fishy. I mumbled on my mind.
“HARRISON”, Dion growled loudly readying himself for a battle between them but surprisingly, Harrison carefully put Ariella beside the tree. He made her sit on the ground lay his head on the huge body of the Narra.
“We'll see each other again.” Harrison whispered and kissed Ariella's forehead. Dion's breathing hitched but before he could act against Harrison, he flew away and was not seen by our naked eye.
Dion ran towards her side to check and tend to her but before he could touch her, a group of loud and scary howls are heard all over the place. Dion groaned and seemed to be lost in his thoughts. A signal that he's in the mindlink. He looked at me and I nods my head at him in understanding what should I do. He looked at the woman in the ground once more and then flew away by shifting into his huge black wolf leaving me his mate.
I walked closely with confusion. Who's her real mate? I stared at her for a while yet my brows only creased more and more trying to resolve my thoughts. I shake off my observations and picked up Ariella in the ground in a bridal style. Her hands fell hanging while we walk heading the pack mansion.
Is she eating foods? She seems to be underweight. My wolf intercepted and I almost smile at what he said. I never knew she's this light too.
We reached the pack house with a mess around the place. I look at the surroundings and expanded my senses to assure if there's danger and I detect none. I knocked the door using my foot a multiple times before a woman in her middle age opened with fear.
“S-Sir Kane.” she greeted with shaking voice, obviously scared of what had happened here earlier.
I nod at her and kick the door lighlty is it could have me enough space to bring inside this woman in my arms. I quitely walked in and the first thing I was the mess. I walked past all of it and went to the couch which are now with claws, giving the cotton material inside it scatter and peek.
I layed Ariella carefully in the couch and made sure she won't fall down the ground.
“Who's with you?” I asked with my flat voice. No emotions at all.
“I'm with another slave here.” She politely answered with instability and dried throat, knuckles are hitting each other.
“Call her and stay with her.” I ordered as polite as I can. She nods her head and immidiately drag her feet away. I look at Ariella's facade. Soon, your secrets will known by me.
“S-sir”, I heard two thin voices from my back. I didn't bother turning at them. I saw a blanket nearby and picked it up to cover Ariella's body.
A c***k was heard in the second floor and my guts speak danger. The two slaves looked up the floor with wet eyes and shaky breathes. “Don't leave her side… or else forget how to breathe.”
I left them dumbfounded and fastly ran where the noises came from. D*mn, haven't Dion and Alpha fixed this? Or it's more serious right now than I expected.
I opened the door quitely and the rogues smell stink coming into my nostrils.
“You should knock first before barging in here.” I spoke calmly as I leaned on the door frame, crossing my arms in my chest. The rogue suddenly stopped his movements facing his back at mine. He's wearing a dark long robe that kisses the ground. The hood also covered his face in front.
I roamed my eyes in the room and it was searched all over. They are into something. They want something. Or, maybe, he wants something without the involvement of those lower leveled rogues in their pack. My inner voice spoke my thoughts and I stared at the rogue's back, wishing that my eyes can pierce a hole at the back of his head.
“You can't find something important in here. Why don't you ask me or anyone where we put what were you looking for so we can help you.” I chuckled a little bit and straighten my posture. I kicked a folder forward and the rogue tilted his head but I can't still see his face. There's no trace of fear nor worry in his body. He's calm and alert. Too good for a rogue.
“You are too young to meddle in my business, kiddo.” An old voice spoke up and my forehead creased. Familiar. His voice is familiar yet I can't find out right now. My mind messed up thinking who he was when he jumped in the open wrecked window. I ran to saw him shifting in the air as he perfectly landed on the ground in his brown big wolf. The rogue wolf walked silently a few steps, then he looked back at me and his eyes glowed green.
“The green-glowed wolf.” I mumbled as I trace him with my eyes. The wolf ran faster than light and wasn't seen from the darkness and trees.
I walked inside the room and squat over the files. The files of the origin.
“Kane”, a voice snapped me from reality while I am walking down the basement.
“How's there?” Dion gestured the second floor and I nod at him responding positively. “Clear.” he nods at me and sit back on Ariella's side.
“Who are they?” I asked seriously after few moments of silence.
“We haven't know them. They seemed to be unseen from our territory but we managed to caught some of them for the interrogation later.” He explained and looked at me with prying eyes. I shook myself and tried to pretend I'm fine.
I walked back at my house while battling with my thoughts.
Why the green-glowed wolf suddenly appeared again after hundred of years just to find the files of origin? Is the greatest Oracle bound to happen?
