25 The bubble jerked to a halt in a small room lit by two lamps on wooden tables on either side of a door that led into a hallway. Through the shimmering curtain of folded space-time, Jack saw two black lumps standing in that corridor. Men, he assumed. And dressed in full tactical gear.
