"Oh, Rupert, I’m so glad you’ve come out of the closet," Gale reached up to give Rupert a hug. "Oh, that doesn’t sound right, but you know what I mean." Gale is a tall woman, but she barely reaches Rupert’s shoulder.
"I apologize, Gale," Rupert hung his head. "I’m sorry for being so upset and angry. Angry at myself, really. I was such a fool to think a woman like Zora could be interested in me."
"Ah, don’t be so quick to come to that conclusion, Rupert." Gale smiled, "Frankly, I’m not so sure she isn’t interested." Gale glanced at me, raising her eyebrows.
"I told Rupert your impressions."
"You did?" Gale smirked.
"Yes, and I think it would be a lovely idea if Rupert backed right off. Send Zora a sweet letter apologizing if he’s offended her. Let her know he understands and wouldn’
