24 After Maggie left, I found myself stomping around the apartment. Wizard headed to a favorite spot under the bedroom bureau. I was frustrated and worried. I should never have let her get pulled into this thing. I recalled our conversations. Had I encouraged her? No. In fact, I hadn’t even shared Michael’s journal with her before now. There wasn’t much I could do to dissuade her. She was determined to play detective to help her friend. I had a lot of sympathy for her and for Katrina.
