Well, I wanted to test the waters and I did and I got some interesting reactions. Jacob’s office was one floor down at the other end of the building. I decided to pay him a visit and bring him up to speed. I took the stairs, rather than wait for an elevator and risk running into either O’Neal or his assistant. I knocked on his door.
"Come in, it’s open."
I peeked around the doorway. "Hi. It’s me."
"Oh, Julia. Come on in. What are you doing here?"
"I just paid a visit to Liam O’Neal."
Jacob’s eyes widened. "Whatever did you do that for?"
"I’m a sucker for punishment." Jacob laughed loudly. He took his glasses off and wiped the lenses. "I wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed his presentation and ask him about the woman who created such a scene."
"Uh, oh. How did that go over?"
