I walked into the dining room and met everyone already seated. There were a few unfamiliar faces but to surprise Jacob was also present.
“Isabella, what took you so long. Come take a seat,” Evelyn said. She stood on her feet and accompanied me to the table. “Everyone, I am sure you must have met this gorgeous and beautiful lady,” she said with a smile on her face. “She wowed The Gonzales on her first day at the board meeting.”

“Of course it is,” she held my hand briefly and then fastened her eyes on Enzo. “You were right about her. She has all the qualities that fit this position.”
