As the door slammed shut, the tears I had been trying to keep away rolled down my cheek. I loosed my fists and sat back on the bed.
I ran my hand through my head. I looked at Benjamin again. “What should I do?” I whispered. I hissed and buried my face on my palm.
I stayed awake throughout the night. I sat staring at the wall clock and hoping that I would hear a disturbance, or any noise as proof that Jacob and Travis had come to rescue me, but there was nothing.
As the day dawned, I heard a knock on the door and it opened up as Garvin, the second son to Alpha Gaius walked in.
