It’s been a few days since Derek left me in charge of the Wells pack. Things had been going smoothly but I was still frightened because I didn’t know how long the peace would last. Every morning I wake up feels like the burden of being alpha wears heavier on me.
How on earth was Derek able to bear this burden? I take time to look at the betas and I can’t help but feel like someone thinks I am not strong enough to rule over them. I watch Beatrice and Hector, they have been awkwardly silent these days and it makes me nervous.
What are they cooking up this time? I thought as soon as I walked into the main hall. I glanced back and forth at the betas which were going about their activities and finally at Beatrice and her uncle Hector who were also having a conversation with a beta jus
