Tears welled in my eyes and I looked at Rita. “Why?” I muttered but she kept smiling back at me. “I thought we were getting along so why would you do this?” I asked.
I struggled to get up from the bed but immediately staggered and fell on the floor. I groaned in pain and she squatted down beside me.
“Don't panic Isabella, It's only a sleeping pill. But I had added something to dampen your strength in case you resist,” she told me. She laughed and stood on her feet as I reached my hand up to her.
