“We are here,” Rita said anxiously and I glanced forward to see we had arrived at the Diamond pack. I noticed how firmly she gripped the steering as soon as we drove into the estate, and upon getting to the pack mansion I saw Travis pacing around outside.
Emily was equally standing beside him and trying to calm him down, but he didn’t seem to care, at least not until they both spotted our vehicle.
Travis furrowed his eyebrows as soon as we packed and came down from the car. “Rita,” I called to have her attention while approaching them and she looked at me. “I know you are scared but I promise not to mention what had happened earlier. Let's both agree that I wasn't feeling well and I had asked you to drive me down to get some drugs,” I said and her eyes lingered a while.
