CHAPTER SIX
Daniella's POV
“You wouldn't do that.” I muttered in horror and Freya simply snickered as she kissed Gareth in front of me, making my heart clench in pain.
“Fake assed Daniella is actually a slut. What do you think they will say?” Freya whispered, her voice mocking me and tears rolled down my cheeks.
“I think you'll be so popular, w***e. Isn't that what you've always wanted? You've always been an attention seeker anyway.” Gareth muttered with a mocking laughter and that was the height of it as I finally made my way out of the room, slamming the door hard behind me.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I left the apartment, blaming myself for loving too much and trusting that the man I loved would never betray me. I had spent the whole ride back home thinking it was all my fault. That I was such a w***e.
But it was actually the man I loved who sold me out as a p********e.
At this point, I didn't even blame the professor anymore. He probably thought I knew what I was there for.
“Damn it.” I whispered, wiping my tears as I returned to my dorm. Not only did I lose my virginity that I had always reserved for the one I loved, but I also lost him that same day.
The universe was definitely against me as always.
Arriving at my dorm, I cried for hours into my pillow. The pain of the betrayal only hit hard after I was curled into a ball on my bed.
Worse, I was a loner and I never had any friends. Gareth was the only one I had.
I eventually fell asleep after hours of crying and when I woke up, wishing everything was a dream, I was disappointed to know that it was not a dream.
The weekend flew by with me doing nothing but wallow in misery and depression. I hated that I still loved him after he had hurt me so much. Something in me even wanted to beg him to take him back. I could be his f**k girl, too.
But when did I begin to see myself as someone so cheap?
Monday showed up to my horror and I had no choice but to go to school again. I eventually dragged myself out of the house that morning and kept my head hidden in my hoodie and baggy pants.
Maybe if I stayed invincible, I would be able to live through the day happily.
How wrong I was.
“Look, it's the slut.” I heard someone whisper and my blood ran cold as I tried to walk faster.
“I heard she sleeps around for dollars. I always knew Gareth was too good for her cheap ass.” Another whisper reached my ears and my hands clenched into fists.
How could they do this to me?
I kept my gaze low anyway as I made my way to class but the moment I turned the corner, someone put their leg out, making me trip and fall on my face.
“Oh, no, I didn't see the school's slut coming in. Don't your eyes work like your cunt does?” The mocking voice said and I immediately recognized it to be Freya's voice.
I never knew I could hate someone the way I hated her right now.
Instead of responding to her even as everyone present laughed, I pushed myself off the ground and continued walking, ignoring her.
That pissed her off as she reached out and grabbed my hair, pulling me back.
“Who do you think you are, huh? Walking out on me?” She hissed in displeasure as she gripped my hair tighter and I winced in pain.
“Let me go! You've already ruined my life enough.” I muttered but she didn't let go, making my eyes sting with tears.
“What, you're gonna cry? Did you also cry when you f****d what belonged to me?” She whispered and I looked at her in confusion mixed with pain.
“I never let Gareth touch me. You both can keep f*****g like the annoying fuckers you are.” I snapped, finally having had enough as I pushed her off me.
She was about to attack me when someone ran down the hallways with a panicked look on her face.
“The professor's coming. Act cool!.” She said loudly and only then did Freya let me go, glaring at me.
Realizing that it could be Professor Kent, I immediately ran down the hallways and disappeared into the bathroom. Thankfully he wasn't my professor, or ignoring him would have been so difficult.
How could I face him after what we did?
I finally returned to class and tried to go through the day ignoring the people who pointed at me, calling me names.
I was sent out of the class for being the “cause of distraction” even though I was just trying to concentrate too. I eventually went to the cafeteria, thankful that it was still empty.
I could just eat and leave before anyone else came in.
Just as I settled down to eat, people began walking into the cafeteria and my heart sank. As usual, they were still pointing at me so I kept my head low and plugged in my headphones to drown out the noise.
Just then, I felt liquid pour over me and I gasped when I looked up to see Freya pouring her glass of juice on my body.
“Oops, I thought that was the trash can. My bad.” She muttered with a grin and the other students snickered as she giggled.
That was it. I had finally had enough.
“Freya, I will warn you only once. Stay away from me.”I snapped and she suddenly burst into laughter as she mocked me.
“What can you do to me? Hm? What can a w***e like you do to me?” She snarled as I got up and she pushed me. “What are you gonna do, w***e?”
My hand hit her face before I could react and everyone gasped.
