The ride was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Alice was lost in her thoughts, and James seemed to sense her unease. He cleared his throat, attempting to break the tension.
"Are you doing okay?" James asked, concern lacing his voice.

"Oh, it's just a rough night's sleep. Nothing to worry about."
Though unconvinced, James nodded, deciding not to press further.

Alice nodded, appreciating his understanding.
As they reached her office, Alice got out of the car and turned to James, offering a genuine smile.
