She kept hoping for them to listen to her. Her mum was busy making dinner and decided to ignore her. Her dad sat in the tlving room flipping through some newspaper. Her brothers were playing a game of chess and her sister was busy chatting while blowing a bubble gum. No one paid attention to the 8 year old clutching her doll and staring at them wide eyed "I saw them Mama. Believe me! Papa, please listen to me. They're bad men and they're coming for us. They hate us mama", she kept screaming but no one listened to her. Finally she broke down in tears and sighing her mum came out to console her. "Baby it was just a nightmare okay? Nothing will happen to us"."No mum I know what I saw", she kept screaming and they weren't through talking when the bad guys barged in and being closer to the door, she took to her heel and all she could hear were the screams of the people behind. One spotted her and was chasing her but being small and faster she escaped leaving her probably dead family behind... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She woke up panting. She still wasn't over the nightmare. The pain and cries kept tormenting her and she blamed 8 year old her for everything. Maybe if she had been more persuasive, or had found an excuse to make them leave the house, it wouldn't have happened. Maybe she should have just died with them. Sobbing quietly, she made her way to the bathroom to prepare for the day's activity. Her phone chimed and she stopped to check the message, "Babysitting job approved. To be resumed tomorrow". Smirking, she wiped her tears and walked into the bathroom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Taking a deep breath, Officer Johnson looks at the pale body of Maya. There wasn't even a scratch on her, yet she was dead. How that happened was still a mystery to him. "Take her for autopsy", he requested his assistant, who nodded swiftly and wheeled the body out of the room. Sighing, he pockets his hand and was about to move out when a message popped into his phone. The test he had earlier asked to be conducted on the hanky was complete and at least he could now have a lead. Moving out and into the test room, he waited briefly for Doctor Smith, who explained to him the nature of the d**g used and the effects. He further explained that no fingerprint was found on the piece of cloth and it was like a machine or robot had done the trick. Sighing, Officer Johnson leaves the office to search the only shop were such drugs were sold in that vicinity. He knew it wasn't a robot's doing but that of man and he was determined to get to the root of the case.
