Officers could be seen moving about the building. Some hurrying in, some hurrying out. In the midst of this sat Edward Johnson at his table flipping through the report given to him by his assistant, Mcguire. "Something's just not right but I can't place my hands on it", he says sighing. Looking over at Mcguire, he questioned rhetorically" Is the murderer a male or female? New offender or criminal? How come there's no evidence or lead? It can't just be a dead end can it? ". Mcguire shrugs obviously used to his boss' behavior. He also wondered why a 25 year old dancer would be murdered along an empty street with no clue or evidence whatsoever. Not even a pin. He was brought out of his thought by his boss' words" Let's comb the area again. Just both of us. Arrange for the car in 30 minutes". "Yes sir", Mcguire replies hurrying out before his boss loses his temper and sends him on more errands . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In a dimly lit room, ladies could be seen dancing to entertain the few rich men who had gathered to watch them. The air was filled with the smell of drugs, alcohol and sweat. In a corner sat a figure dressed in black hoodie watching a young lady who danced freely. Taking a sip from the drink, the figure stood as soon as the dance came to an end and the young lady walked out. Watching carefully, the figure followed the young lady into the quiet street at a short distance. Maya, the 20 year old was tired and tried reaching for her phone in her bag to order a ride when she felt a presence behind her. Turning sharply she was shocked as she saw no one behind her but as she looked forward, something collided with her neck and she struggled to gasp for breathe. Soon enough she was unconscious and left alone in the dark corridor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Panting, Gracie walked in and hurriedly pulled off the hoodie she was putting on. She couldn't believe her eyes. What was going on? Pacing furiously, she stormed to the kitchen to take a glass of water when her eyes caught a piece of paper stuck on her fridge. Walking slowly yet cautiously, she swiped the paper off the fridge expecting an explosion or something of that sort but there was nothing. Breathing to calm herself, she read the content and was shocked to the marrow. 'I know what you're after GC. Watch out! ", it read. She took a step back her eyes wide in horror as she tried to grasp what she had just read. Someone finding out about her plan was not a good thing, it was a bad omen and she had to stop it. She had to silence the person by any means possible. Making this promise to herself, she paddled out of the kitchen and into her room, her heart heavy with fear and worry.
