Lyra's POV I stood outside our chambers long enough to sense that lots of speculation was going on in hushed tones. The tension radiated through the door, and its waves sent chills down my spine. This is something that can't be undone. This is the pain that will mark me as long as I remain in this Pack. I turned the doorknob and walked inside like a ghost, hanging my head low in shame.
