I was returning to the palace with Anya from a walk when I looked up and saw the Alpha's carriage riding off in the distance.
Opportunity.
I turned to Anya.
“Could you head back over to Lady Anastasia's home? Tell her to let you pick up some of her edible lotuses for me. I'll have lotus soup for dinner tonight."
I handed her some coins and cupped her palm over them.
“Do hurry."
“Yes, milady," she curtsied and left.
Now free to walk the castle as I should, I headed to the Omega wing.
Orchid hasn't come to see me for some days now, and I didn't have any news on what was brewing. It made me a bit jittery.
