Chapter 1: How The Best Friends Met

A lady dressed in a black chiffon formal dress with gold sequins around the end of the dress, came wading into the hospital.She looked disheveled a bit.Just the hair a little bit out of place and the dress looked a little crumpled, but still looked gorgeous. She had beautiful white porcelain skin with purple eyes, and long beautiful eyelashes. Her hair was long dark blonde hair, down past her shoulders with curls at the end. She was wearing light makeup, a little bit of eyeliner, some nude lipstick, and a little bit of blush on her cheeks. She went right to the nurse at the front desk, tired and out of breath, "nurse, I'm having contractions, I think I'm in labour", the lady said, huffing and puffing. The nurse, who looked around 50, looked the lady up and down. Started to type in on her computer, "name and age miss?" she said. "Madeline Josephine Taylor age 23... Oh sorry I mean Richards, not Taylor", she said sadly, looking down on the floor. The nurse looked up abruptly and loudly, "WAIT, ARE YOU THE SAME MADELEINE TAYLOR MARRIED TO THE BILLIONAIRE JOSH TAYLOR?" Shhh, please not so loud and again its Richards not Taylor, but yes and that's my ex-husband we are getting a divorce ", said Madeline angrily but still, had a sad expression on her face. The nurse shut her mouth right up and started typing on the computer. Once finished, she looked at her and said, well.. Miss Taylor, we do not have anymore private rooms available, but we do have a room available. You will just be sharing it with two other pregnant mothers, is that fine?the nurse asked. Madeleine breathed heavily and told her yes, yes, yes that's fine, ouch, mmmm, she said as she bent over as another contraction hit. The nurse asks another nurse to get Madeleine a wheelchair and wheel her to the room. It took about 7- 10 mins to arrive at the room on the second floor, the delivery floor. Once Madeleine and the nurse got off the elevator, the contraction stopped. Once she got to the room, she saw 2 other women heavily pregnant and looked about to give birth just like she was. Both of them were talking and walking around rubbing their bellies. One lady looked like she was 19 or 20 with long black hair put in a ponytail. She had pale skin and very small black eyes. She had a small body frame of 5ft4 and had a medium-sized pregnant belly. She was wearing a hospital gown just like the other woman was. The other woman was a light-skinned lady with light brown curly hair, big sea-green eyes, and a medium sports body frame. She had a big pregnant belly and was 5ft8. She looked very fit, like she worked out every day. She was wearing light makeup on just like Madeleine was. As the two ladies were talking ,the nurse helped Madeleine out of the wheelchair and put her bag on the hospital bed. "The Doctor will come and check on you shortly Miss", said the nurse, and took the wheelchair and left the room.

The two ladies stop talking and look at Madeleine. The 5ft8 lady with brown curly hair walked(well waddle) up to Madeleine by the bed,"hi my name is Wanda Matthews, I'm 23 years old and I am having a girl," she said. Holding out her hand for Madeleine to shake and she did. The lady's voice sounded a bit rough but very cheerful. "My name is Madeleine Josephine Taylor. I'm also having a baby girl, and sorry that Richards not Taylor," she said sadly. I have got to remember I'm not married to Josh anymore, we are divorced, she said in her mind. The small lady with long black hair tied in a ponytail was next to come over and shake Madeleine, "Hi my name is Yuna Nakamura. I'm 20 years old and I am also having a girl", she said softly. Yuki had a soft beautiful voice. Madeleine shook Yuna's hand and said," nice to meet you both.", she said with a smile. "Well, look at us, the three of us. Were all having girls, I love it", said Wanda cheerfully. Then Wanda looked at Madeleine and asked,"hey Madeleine are you getting a divorce"? Madeleine looked at the lady wide-eyed "how did you know?", she asked? "Well, when you corrected yourself when you said your last name is Richards and not Taylor", said Wanda, looking at her curiously. Madeleine was silent and looked down at the floor. When the ladies saw this, Yuna nudged Wanda and Wanda looked a lot frantic, shaking hands side to side,and looking apologetic, she said, "Oh oh gosh I'm so, so, so sorry it's none of my business, I just saw when you came in here you had no man." "It's fine, It's fine said Madeleine shaking her head and putting her hand on Wanda's shoulder. "Don't worry about it, said Madeleine. Then she continued "To answer your question, Yes, I was married, but I am getting a divorced because my ex-husband is in love with another woman. He does not want to be a husband or a father to his daughter", she said. She was a little sad that her daughter would grow up without a father. Plus getting exasperated because she just wanted this baby out, and in her arms. Both Yuna and Wanda were sorry that was happening to her. Then Yuna took a step towards Madeleine and held her hand and said "you know maybe he might change his mind, maybe he just needs time" she said, looking at Madeleine with hopefulness in her eyes. Madeleine sighed and said "I wish he would change his mind that this is all a dream, and that I will wake up and have my baby in my arms and my husband right beside me, but that is not gonna happen ". "You don't know that, he could still change his mind, said Yuki still holding her hands. Madeleine let go of Yuki's hand and walked a little, took a deep breath in and out and said "I do know that, Yuna was about to say something but she stopped her and said" my ex-husband didn't just give me divorce papers, he gave me papers cancelling his parental rights". Madeleine's eyes started to glazed over when she said it, but she wasn't gonna cry. She had to be strong for her and her baby. Both ladies look shocked and heartbroken after Madeleine's admission of her husband not just divorcing her, but basically didn't want his child as well. Yuna started to cry and Wanda pulled her for a side hug. Madeleine went back to her and took hold of her hand, rubbed it softly and said "I'm sorry Yuna. I didn't mean to make you cry". Yuna sniffled a bit. Madeleine went over to her bed, grabbed some tissues in her bag and walked back and handed it to Yuna. Yuna blew her nose a couple of times and said " I'm sorry Madeleine. I thought that you were different from us, but it looks like the 3 of us are in the same boat ". Madeleine looked confused and asked, "what do you mean in the same boat, where are you men"? Madeleine noticed that Wanda got a little stiff and Yuna winced. Madeleine took a step back from them and looked at them closely and both of them looked sad. Then Wanda spoke, " the truth is, honey, that both are men didn't want anything to do with us or the baby either". "Really? said Madeleine, a little bit shocked and surprised. She continued saying," I just thought that your partners were just filling out some paperwork or they went to the bathroom or something". No, they both said at the same time. Then Wanda spoke "Well, my man. I thought that we were heading in the same direction, which was marriage, after I found out I was pregnant. But...(she took a deep breath and sighed) I found out that he is married and has a family. Wow what an a**, said Madeleine. Yes he mostly definitely is,she said, raising up her head. Her eyes looked like she was about to cry, but Wanda wasn't going to cry for that jerk. Madeleine walked over and gave her a side hug since she couldn't give her a regular hug. Hey, look at me Wanda (and Wanda gave her a side look and Madeleine said)." I haven't known you long but, after just talking with you, I can see that you are strong woman". Taking a step back and grabbing both Wanda's hand and Yuna and continuing, both of you are strong women and are both going to teach your daughters how to be strong women too", Madeleine told them. Looking at both of them with such determination and promise that she actually knew in her gut that the three of them were going to be fine. Then Madeleine looked at Yuna and asked "Yuna what happened to your partner"? Yuna just looked sad and said, ...that is a very long story. Yuna looked down and rubbed her belly, she was comforting herself because the pain was still there. Wanda, rubbing her back, said" Yuna you just said to me that it didn't work out, is there more to the story?". "Yeah there is", Yuna sighed. Then Madeleine clapped her hands together and both ladies jumped a little bit. Madeleine apologized and said" Sorry , well ladies, we have time, and we might not see each other again and talking it out might help" said Madeleine. Before they began talking about their past, the doctor came to check on how dilated they all were.It was crazy that all 3 of them were all 5 centimeters dilated. All of them just took an annoying breath that they weren't even close to 9 yet. So Madeleine was right. They did have time. Then they got cleaned up and got out of their beds. They took the comfortable chair that was beside each of their beds, and pushed it into the middle of the room. It was kinda a struggle, but after many attempts they finally got their chairs in the middle of their room. Each took a seat rubbing their bellies as a means of comfort and a way to relax. They were also breathing in and out, and they felt relaxed. All three of them took an eperduriel ,and the eperduriel finally took in affect. So they were officially relaxed. Once they all took a minute or two, they all looked at each other and then Wanda said "OK ladies who wants to start"? They all looked at each other and were silent for like 2 mins, then Madeleine spoke," Well... since it was my idea to talk about our pasts, I will start then". All three ladies were comfortable and both Wanda and Yuna had their attention on Madeleine as she started her story about her past.
