Rejected And Needed By The Alpha

Chapter 7

　　Roland Pov

　　It's been close to a week now and in yet to return to my pack, I'm happy I took the bold step of attending the party I might have missed the chance of meeting my mate.

　　I know that I have no feelings for her, it's because of her special powers I need her. After hearing the way she sounded last night I realized that if she was not ill she would have rejected me, and if she had rejected me I would have lost hope completely.

　　Seeing how she woke up late today I'm sure she enjoyed her sleep. I helped her block the sun from reflecting in her eyes and we've been in that same position for almost an hour already.

　　“You're awake already my angel.” My dad said to me as he was walking into the room, I immediately snapped out of my mindless thought and turned to look at my dad.

　　“Daddy.” Audrey said to her dad as she struggled to stand up.

　　“Don't stress yourself, darling.” Her dad said to her and stopped her from trying to stand up.

　　“I'm yet to tell you my name, I'm Alpha Roland, Alpha of the Blue moon pack.” I didn't know if it was the right time and right way but I just wanted to let her know my name. She opened her eyes wider than usual upon hearing what I said. I could tell from the look on her face that she was shocked.

　　“You are an Alpha?” Beta Drew asked me, also looking shocked.

　　“Why are you still here? You must have a lot of work to Beta Drew asked me, I placed my hands on my his shoulder.

　　“You don't have to worry about me, I am going to take my mate with me, we'll leave together today.” I smiled and turned to look at Audrey. I try my best to smile anytime I'm around her so that she will not get the wrong impression of me.

　　The doctor walked in when I was about to say something to Audrey so I decided not to say anything again.

　　“You can be discharged now, Miss Audrey.” The doctor said to her with a smile, Beta hugged her excitedly because he will be more settled to know that his daughter was finally out of danger and free to move around as usual. He must love get very much.

　　“You sustained minor injuries, you'll need to get them treated daily.” The doctor warned before leaving the ward. A nurse walked in and helped Audrey remove all the needles.

　　After a while, Audrey was finally leaving but this time she was not leaving to her father's house. Instead, she will be leaving with me her mate.

　　“My darling, I can't believe I have to send you off like this, take good care of yourself, and remember there's always a home for you here.” Beta Drew said to her and hugged her again, they hugged for a while before my Escorts came to pick us up from the hospital.

　　The look Audrey’s face made it clear that she was shocked to see the card taking us back to the pack. She walked inside the car and after a few words with her dad I joined her in the car. Audrey kept waving until her dad was finally out of sight.

　　While we were driving home there was complete silence in the car. I was waiting for her to say something to me because I was trying to behave myself because I believe that first impressions matter a lot.

　　It felt good to be back home especially returning with a mate, which is something I never saw coming. The car stopped some minutes ago but Audrey was not coming out of the car, I wanted to tap her but I decided to leave her for some minutes.

　　“The car stopped moving already.” I said to her and she immediately snapped out of her thought and we both headed inside the house, while we were walking in Audrey couldn’t stop looking around.

　　“Welcome back home brother.”Alex greeted, he walked closer to me and hugged me. Alex is the only friend I have in the pack, we’ve been friends since childhood and he’s been by my side all through my tight years. He finally released me from his grip after a short hug.

　　“I have a guest have them prepare a room for her.” I know he had questions but I was going to answer everything when Audrey is settled in her room.

　　“Hi, I’m Alex. Alpha Roland only friend.” Alex introduced himself to Audrey. I wasn’t surprised because I know that’s the kind of person he is.

　　“Go and do as I have ordered she needs rest.” Alex gave me a kind of look that made me know I was going to get an ear full of questions from him tonight.

　　“Okay, I’ll be in your room after that.” Alex said abs walked away, I turned to look at Audrey who seemed really uncomfortable around me, I tried not to let her too uncomfortable that’s why I didn’t tell her anything when we got to the pack house.

　　“Come with me.” Two maids said to Audrey abs helped her pick her bags. While they were heading upstairs,I decided to go to my room Angel must have missed me a lot.

　　“Angel.” I called out several times when I got to my room I checked her net but she wasn’t there, while looking around for her I suddenly felt her in my shoulder.

　　“There you are.” I smiled and picked her up. Angel is a bird I saved five years ago, she’s been my best friend since that day. I patted her softly, from the way she moved I could tell she missed me.

　　“I missed you too.” I said to her with a smile.

　　“We have a lot to talk about.” Alex walked into the room again without knocking.

　　“You didn’t knock.” I said to him angrily. Alex and I have had misunderstandings because he don’t knock before entering the room.

　　I took Angel back to her cage and dropped her by the side it just bed so I can feed her. I went into her food room and brought some out to feed her myself.

　　“You have all the time in the world to feed her later, tell me who is she and why is she here?” I pretended not to hear what Alex said and continued feeding my pet. I knew he was going to get pissed and that’s exactly what I wanted.

　　“Are you really going to pretend you didn’t hear me?” Alex asked angrily.

　　“Now you know how I felt when you walked in without knocking.” I replied him and continued feeding Angel.

　　“Okay, I’m sorry.” Alex apologized, I paused what I was doing and turned the look at him.

　　“She is my mate.” Alex opened his eyes wider than usual when he heard what I said.

　　“Your mate?” He asked to confirm if he heard me correctly.

　　“You heard me correctly.” I replied him and returned the remaining food Angel couldn’t eat.

　　“So what’s the plan? Is Sarah aware?” I was confused when I heard the question Alex asked, because I couldn’t understand what he meant by asking such a question.

　　“Do I need to ask Sarah for permission?” I asked Alex trying to confirm what he asked me.

　　“No, that’s not what I meant, I…”

　　“It’s okay, I want you to treat her well until she is comfortable here.” I said to Alex with a serious look on my face so he won’t think I was lying.

　　Alex looked like he had nothing to say to me, he just sat there saying nothing. Though it was more like he wanted to talk but he couldn’t bring out the words from his mouth.

　　“You don’t even know her, bringing her home immediately is a big risk.” Alex said to me. I knew there was something bothering him.

　　“It’s fine, I understand your fear.” I replied him with a smile. All I want from you is to make her feel comfortable here.

　　“Roland you…”

　　“I want to rest now.” I interrupted him immediately while preparing to lay on the bed. Alex stood up abs quietly walked out of the room. When he walked out I opened my eyes and heaved a sigh.

　　I knew there was sense In what he was saying but I have little time left so it’s better I take the risks.

　　“What if she’s unable to do it?” I asked myself and closed my eyes, I knew it was not the best time to be thinking about such things but I couldn’t help but think about it.
