CHAPTER TWELVE
Petra wiped the whiteboard clean and set down the eraser. Done with teaching, she would use this last free period to prepare for the following day until the final bell rang and Elias ran into her classroom. Hopefully, she would be spared a Richard visit today. He had made far too many stops at her classroom since school started for her to find an official reason for them. And he almost always caught her at the end of Tuesdays, when she was alone waiting for Elias, basically trapped.
