CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
Petra strolled arm in arm with Sami as they explored the lush gardens. A hesitant breeze ruffled leaves on the trees above them, but the air remained clammy. Petra’s hair frizzed with the humidity and she wished she had a hair tie in her bag to lift it off her neck. The high heels gave her a hard time on the pebble stone walkways. She kept her eyes to the ground to watch each step she took. Sami’s arm provided support, but she would die of embarrassment if she broke a heel or twisted an ankle. She would never forgive herself if she ruined this romantic evening, which Sami had planned to perfection.
