CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE Sami entered the kitchen and made a beeline for the coffee machine. He filled a mug and stood in his T-shirt and pyjama bottoms, gazing out of the window. Having not slept all night, his head pounded. He drank coffee and waited for caffeine’s enlivening power to jolt him awake. The sun was on the verge of rising, about to nudge in a new world arriving on his doorstep. Today would be the beginning of the rest of his life with Petra, the woman he loved, by his side.
