CHAPTER TEN Petra signed the last document and slid it across the table to Mr. Faisal. He added it to a stack in a file and handed the folder to his assistant. From the moment she had stepped into her lawyer’s office, Sami was silent. He stood by the window and listened to legal jargon. This must be very hard on him, transferring a good portion of his father’s company in Kuwait into her name. Every now and then, she noticed him staring out of the window. No matter how noble his desire was to honour his father’s wishes, this must sting. Yet, he didn’t put up a fight. Were other, more compelling reasons driving him? What skeletons did this man hide? Mr. Faisal shook Vaughn’s hand. “Everything is set in motion now. I will have a notarized final copy delivered to your office before noon.”
